I am a Consultant Oral Surgeon with over 20 years experience in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I am recognised by the General Dental Council (UK) as a Specialist in Oral Surgery and by the Jordanian Dental Association as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
I graduated from the University of Jordan with honours in 1997. Subsequently I obtained a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with distinction from the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in 2000. I also gained my Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
I did my specialist training as a visiting specialist registar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University College London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I was one of a handful of singly qualified surgeons to be allowed to train as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the UK. My rotations covered all aspects of treatment in the field including facial deformity and trauma.
My Specialist interests include all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including impacted wisdom teeth, bone grafting and dental implants. I also carry out operations for facial deformity (orthognathic surgery), minimally invasive TMJ surgery and facial trauma. I work alongside other specialists in dentistry and medicine across the various sites who compliment my skills, offering the patient a seamless experience.
I run a hands-on training course to enhance the younger generation’s technical skills in oral surgery as part of my on-going commitment to clinical teaching and training. I also provide one to one mentorship courses aimed at dentists with specialist interest in oral surgery.
I organised and ran a free educational webinar series covering various topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The webinars were highly successful and reached more than 85 countries worldwide. Based on the feedback received, I continue to put together webinars in collaboration with other colleagues in different specialities.
